Please read these terms carefully. By accessing joinmatched.com or any Matched service, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Barbee Ventures LLC.
Matched is operated by Barbee Ventures LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. Our principal place of business is in Wyoming, United States. References to "Matched," "we," "us," or "our" refer to Barbee Ventures LLC and all associated services at joinmatched.com and any related subdomains or applications.
Our mission is to help people find real, meaningful connections through psychological compatibility. We succeed when our users find their person and no longer need us.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use Matched. By using our services you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these terms. You must provide accurate and truthful information when joining our waitlist or using any Matched service. You may not use Matched on behalf of another person without their explicit consent.
Waitlist Registration: You may register your information to receive early access when the platform launches. Registration does not guarantee access and does not obligate us to launch within any specific timeframe.
Beta Assessment Tools: Our honesty test and quiz tools are for entertainment and informational purposes only. Results are not professional psychological assessments and should not be used for any medical, psychological, or professional decision-making purpose.
Support and Contributions: You may voluntarily contribute funds toward development. See Section 6 for full details.
You agree not to submit false or fraudulent information, impersonate any person, attempt unauthorized access to our systems, reverse engineer our proprietary matching methodology, use automated tools to interact with our services, use Matched to harm or harass any person, or violate any applicable law.
All content, design, code, trademarks, matching methodology, quiz architecture, and behavioral analysis systems on joinmatched.com are the sole property of Barbee Ventures LLC. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access our services for personal, non-commercial purposes only. Our proprietary matching methodology and psychological profiling systems are trade secrets. Any attempt to replicate or commercially exploit these systems without written permission is a violation of these terms and applicable law.
Payments made through our support page are voluntary contributions toward development. They are not purchases of a currently available product.
Founding Member Status: Contributors of $40 USD or more will receive lifetime access to Matched upon the platform becoming commercially available, contingent on Matched launching. We do not guarantee a specific launch date.
Refund Policy: All contributions are non-refundable. If Matched does not launch, contributions will not be returned. By contributing you accept this risk.
Cryptocurrency: Contributions via Solana or any cryptocurrency are final and irreversible. We cannot reverse or refund cryptocurrency transactions under any circumstances.
Payment Processing: Card payments are processed by Stripe Inc. We do not store your payment card information.
Matched is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We make no representations regarding romantic outcomes, compatibility results, or relationship success.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Barbee Ventures LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Matched, including loss of data, revenue, personal injury, or emotional distress resulting from interactions with other users. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have contributed to us in the 12 months preceding any claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Barbee Ventures LLC and its founders from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising from your use of Matched or violation of these terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these terms. You may request removal from our waitlist at any time by contacting us and we will process removal within 30 days.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States. Any disputes shall first be subject to good faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be settled by binding arbitration in Wyoming under American Arbitration Association rules. You waive your right to participate in a class action lawsuit.
We may update these terms at any time. We will notify registered waitlist members of material changes via email. Continued use of Matched after changes constitutes acceptance.

We collect only what we need. We do not sell your data. We do not share your personal information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. We never have and we never will.

When you join the Matched waitlist we collect your first name, email address, city, age range, and seeking preference. If you make a contribution through our support page, Stripe provides us with confirmation and the name on your payment. We do not receive or store card numbers, expiration dates, or CVV codes.
Netlify automatically collects standard server log data including IP address, browser type, referring URL, and pages visited for security and operational purposes. hCaptcha may collect device and browsing data as part of fraud detection, subject to its own privacy policy.
Quiz answers are processed entirely within your browser. We do not transmit, store, or retain quiz answers on our servers. No quiz data ever reaches our database.
We use your information to manage our waitlist, send you updates about Matched, fulfill founding member benefits, prevent spam, and comply with legal obligations. We do not use your data for advertising targeting, sale to data brokers, or any purpose not listed here.
Your data is stored in Supabase with AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS encryption in transit. We use row-level security policies, input sanitization, rate limiting, HTTPS with auto-renewing SSL, DNSSEC, and SPF and DMARC email authentication. In the event of a data breach we will notify affected users within a reasonable timeframe as required by law.
We use: Supabase for database storage, Netlify for hosting, Resend for email delivery, hCaptcha for spam prevention, Stripe for payment processing, and Geonames for city lookup. We do not use advertising networks, data brokers, social media pixels, or behavioral analytics platforms. We do not use Google Analytics.
We use only the minimum cookies necessary to operate our website. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, fingerprinting, or pixel tracking. hCaptcha may set functional cookies for fraud detection purposes only.
We retain your waitlist information to manage the Matched waitlist and fulfill obligations to you. You may request deletion at any time. See Section 8 for your rights.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time. You may opt out of email communications by replying to any email or contacting us directly. We will respond to all requests within 30 days. Contact: joinmatched [at] gmail.com.
California residents have the right to know what data we collect, request deletion, opt out of sale of personal information, and be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your CCPA rights, contact us at joinmatched [at] gmail.com.
If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, our legal basis for processing is your consent, given when you join our waitlist. You have the right to data portability and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Data is stored in the United States. By joining our waitlist you consent to this transfer.
Matched is for users 18 and older only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, please contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.
We will notify waitlist members of material changes via email at least 30 days before they take effect.

Matched is committed to operating legally, ethically, and transparently. This page summarizes our compliance posture across key regulatory areas.
CCPA: We comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act. We do not sell personal information.
GDPR: We follow GDPR principles including data minimization, purpose limitation, and user rights.
CAN-SPAM: All marketing emails include an unsubscribe mechanism. We do not send unsolicited commercial email.
COPPA: Matched does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Minimum age is 18.
PCI DSS: We do not store, process, or transmit payment card data. All card payments are handled by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified processor.
Tax: Barbee Ventures LLC is registered in Wyoming. We collect and remit applicable sales tax through Stripe Tax where required by law.
HTTPS: All data is encrypted in transit using TLS with an auto-renewing Let's Encrypt certificate.
Data encryption: Personal data is encrypted at rest using AES-256.
Access controls: Row-level security policies govern database access. No personal data is publicly accessible.
Rate limiting: Application and database level rate limiting prevent abuse.
DNSSEC: Enabled on our domain to prevent DNS hijacking.
Email authentication: SPF and DMARC records prevent email spoofing.
